Im in the market for a new one. Mines a few years old and way to heavy.

I've got a summit. I can't really remember the model. I've had it fir a few years and I'm really happy with it. Good support. Very stable. And light enought to pack in for a ways.

Summit razr. The front rail flips down which I like for bowhunting. I've used several different kinds and I like summit best. Mine has never slipped on a tree and it's really comfortable.
If you don't want the front rail to flip down get the viper or Goliath..

mine is a summit too but that thing weighs like 30 pounds, that is the only downfall.

Yeah some of the older ones weigh a lot but the newer ones are light.

Summit. Weighs 21lbs but that sucker is glued to the tree. Will not slip for anything.

I have heard great things about lone wolf climbers. I have never used one but I hear they are very very light but pricey.

I know a couple people who bought lone wolf climbers, they claim they only used them once and sold them. Said the seats were the most uncomfortable they had ever sat in..

Guess i need to look into the ol mans.

If you want something cheaper get an ol man. If you're willing to spend a little more for quality, get a summit. Ol mans are a little easier to carry if you have a long walk through thick stuff.

Summit treestands are hands down the best. Mine weights 20lbs and has never failed me for the last 6-7 years I've used it.
I've used old man stands and I have no idea why people would want to use that thing. That has to be one of the most uncomfortable stands they make. I owned one for a few years and gave it away it was so bad. It was uncomfortable and didn't hold good on the tree either. I had a model from about 10 years ago and was the basic model also.
Looked at the lone wolf climber at Cabela's and it looked pretty cool. Was only like 12lbs.
