What's this I'm hearing about LSU fans not going to Gainesville?

I heard on the radio that LSU fans are not expected to make a good showing at the Florida game. A couple of people mentioned the same later in the day. The speculation is that its either a rough economy keeping people home or a fed up fan base. Anyone have any input on this?

if u ever wnated to go and could never get tickets.....this is your chance....see ticket exchange. also know fans that have been asking for away tickets for years now, and never could get them. had no problem this year...

I think that is just the LSU Alumni Association they were talking about. They called it off before the season cause people didn't really want to go to Florida.
They said they're overloaded though for the Auburn trip.

I was going, but gave my tickets away....students are getting rid of their tickets left and right because midterm week is next week. When I ordered mine, I thought it was going to be fall break this week, but they moved it back 2 weeks later than usual. I cant afford to do 20 hours of driving and have 2 midterms next week on monday and tuesday

if this game was bama people would still go in droves. its fricking a haul to gainesville esp driving and and the expense of flying. people probably said frick it and not go. not to mention gainesville kinda sucks and thier fans are basically lsu fans with blue and orange with zero hospitality after hecklin.. regardless of what happens in gainesville, we will have a good turnout in auburn.

i just decided to go today. leaving w/ 2 buddies outta BR and a fellow LSU alum is drivng n from Tampa.

both... plus its a long haul... and like sheek said Gainsville aint an easy road trip. i fully expect to fight my way the bars all wknd. this trip aint for the faint of heart.
