They really aren't that bad. I'll have to check the stats to be sure, but for all the 1st half points they give up, they don't give away many in the 2nd. Usually by that time they're scoring 40 or more anyway and it doesn't matter.
I don't know who would win that game. Each team is as deep as the other. Bama has a size advantage, Oregon has a speed advantage. Say what you want about SEC speed, but these guys at Oregon are really, really fast.

I agree on this, but they had a decided speed advantage over Ohio State in the Rose Bowl and lost. Alabama would have no trouble at all sustaining long drives, keeping that high powered offense off the field. JMO.
And where the SEC speed shows is in the front lines of both sides of the ball. I don't think the SEC has a speed advantage when it comes to skill positions, but I think they have a huge advantage when it comes to DL,OL & LBs.
