If so, how?
Wins/losses. That is all that counts.
If you are a salesman, what counts more, the beauty of your presentation, or the signed order?
Show me the money.

So, if Miles loses 5-6 this year, you'd be in here saying he sucked?
Hmm. Doubt that.

OK, so you're a CEO. You have a salesman that when he was at the top of his game, was great, say for 10 years.
Suddenly, his sales start dropping off. Pretty dramatically. For 2 years, his sales decline. The employees he oversees in his department seem to be internally falling apart. He suddenly starts losing track of time, and missing important appointments. He clearly cannot manage his time any longer.
Do you keep him 10 more years, until he goes down to $0 sales, and you lose your entire department, or do you start looking to replace him before your company goes under?

Typically the two go together. If u appear to miles your way through a presentation You likely don't make the sale.

In addition, if you make more money than 90 percent of your peers, and sale the same... you'll be downsized.
