1. Couple of years of coaching Little League.
2. No idea how to prove it.
3. Am I employed? Yes. Bet I make more money than you.

I pay a fortune to watch imcompetence, tickets, parking pass etc....., which means I help pay his salary, along with other TAF members. I have never coached football in my life, have coached other sports and it doesn't take a genuis to see what a mess we have in this coach. This team would be top five with anyone but LES. Our skilled players have never gotten better, thats a problem

Wins/losses. That is all that counts.
If you are a salesman, what counts more, the beauty of your presentation, or the signed order?
Show me the money.

is this where you expect me to defend Miles. Miles is doing a good enough job defending himself, not my job to defend him.
Truthfully, there are a handful of coaches I would love to see at the helm. The reality is Miles will be here at the very least till the end of the 2011 season.
this thread was about us, not coaching.

I've never been shot in the head. Although I lack this experience I believe I can safely say, "IT frickING HURTS"! Go ahead Mississippian defend Miles. If you do then you never played a down of football past pee wee level.

I own a chain of retail stores. If you do, you are doing fine.

So, if Miles loses 5-6 this year, you'd be in here saying he sucked?
Hmm. Doubt that.

OK, so you're a CEO. You have a salesman that when he was at the top of his game, was great, say for 10 years.
Suddenly, his sales start dropping off. Pretty dramatically. For 2 years, his sales decline. The employees he oversees in his department seem to be internally falling apart. He suddenly starts losing track of time, and missing important appointments. He clearly cannot manage his time any longer.
Do you keep him 10 more years, until he goes down to $0 sales, and you lose your entire department, or do you start looking to replace him before your company goes under?

what are your credentials?

Well, sounds like we basically agree.
BUT, the premise implied by the OP is still silly.

Well ya know, if his average after those 20 years is still higher than the average of the other saleman, then you should keep him!!

Typically the two go together. If u appear to miles your way through a presentation You likely don't make the sale.

you dont have to be a coach to tell when there is an issue with the team.
this team has some issues.
OC is one. the disconnect between having a Big Ten HC and WAC OC is the biggest I see.
This stuff about the clock is not a big one to me.
Its only important because ESPN is mocking LSU.
Next week it will be something else getting their 15 minutes and we will be on to the next game.
But we still have OC Crowton calling fancy plays with 3rd and 1.
The best part of the game was seeing HC Miles with the team, calling the play and setting them up to go in and run for one yard.
I LOVED THAT.

Well, since you brought up "stones", how about you show some stones and take a stand now. If you're AD, and Miles' contract is due at the end of the year, do you negotiate a new contract or get rid of him?

I think proof of things were mentioned in your previous post. Did you have FICA deducted from your last check or not?

this is a perfect example. What you fail to admit, Les, who is stinking it up right now, is selling out the house every game. The bottom line for a CEO, he's a dumb son of a bitch, but he's not going anywhere.

I own Smokey's Tobacco (5 stores) in Jackson Co. MS. Good enough?

and is undefeated.
rest assured: if the won lost record included a last second loss to UT, version #1, the fundraising for the buy out would have its own website by now.
