quote:
"When I looked up, the clock was at about :05 so I knew I had to pop up and snap it," Hebert said. "I didn't even know what the play was. I think we were trying to get a little too much done in too little time. Time was about to run out, so I snapped it."

thats not a joke but a statement of fact. He had more damn sense than the coaches. Huddling on the sidelines and doing a mass sub with no timeouts and 15 seconds or so with clock running down.

The common theme is we are winning in spite of the coaching not because of it.

This was echoed in 2007,,,it is painfully obvious now.

This message needs to be pounded home in tiger nation.

This kid literally saved the game.

Kid made a great decision to snap the ball and at least give us a chance, but is anyone else disturbed that the center didn't know the play that was called?

I don't think ANYONE knew what the play was

All you can do here......is shake your head

If our backup Center had this much awareness, then our starting QB sure as shite should have had some. I'd say the clusterfrick was 85% on the coaches, but Jefferson has to act like he's actually seen a football game before, much less played in one.

Heads up play by T-Bob...he's gonna be in hot water for explaining the coaching staffs scatter brained last few seconds. We all know it but god forbid the kid speaks the truth.

so true. A jr qb has to be able to get the team together and DO SOMETHING in that situation.
On the T-Bob quote....reading it in the TP, sounds like it was hammered into his head to get a play off at the end of the game no matter what
" We've practiced it and talked about it, that in crazy situations you've just got to snap the ball"
so based on THAT quote, you could say they "progressed" from OM 2009? just saying

I'm assuming you aren't saying it was his fault that he didn't know the play. There were several disturbing things about that play. At least someone recognized something had to be done. Too bad it wasn't the QB.

He saved the game. That was a heads up play.

You know, it's just embarassing that the snapper knew more about how critical time was than the coaches.
