I defended him till yesterday. Clock management has been an issue since the Auburn game in 2007. For it to pop up in that fashion at tigerstadium against Tennessee,,,,,,,no progress whatsoever.

Yes, though he's certainly not perfect.

Will,

You can't be serious? This is one if the main problems in America. People are quick to blame someone else for their own or their children's mistakes. The buck starts and stops with Miles.

frick no I am not saying he is good. Miles has won and had success with pure luck. The clusterfrick with LSU football is squarely on his shoulders no matter who called the final play last night. Miles needs to go if we can find someone better.

NO... I cannot say I have much confidence in him at all because all I keep hearing is how we are going to fix this and then the next week, we are going to fix this, and so on, and yet nothing ever gets fixed. I don't think he has even the slightest handle on things, and is just saying what I think he has to in order to make the big questions go bye bye and he can go home.

After Ole Miss debacle we heard how LSU will now institute a heavy dose of time management drills in every practice. He promised us it would be corrected. He didn't say how, or with whom, but that it would be corrected. A year later and 2 games (should have been 3 if you count Arkansas where we got away with an inbounds tackle called out of bounds) - same problems.

That tells me the problem is Miles, not Crowton, not John Smith, not Sally Sue, not the LSU fanbase...but LES MF MILES!

in '07, we had lights out offense and defense. clock mgt wasn' a huge issue. who the qb was wasn't an issue, etc and the team (both sides of the ball) had excellent senior leadership. miles cruised. since then, he has had to work a lot harder and found himself with asst coaches that are not up to the task or asst coaches with different philosophies than him. the CEO type coaches like miles (mack brown, etc) are almost wholly dependent on asst coaching while the "micro managing" coached (saban, etc) mold their asst coaches (my way or the hwy). MILES NEEDS A NEW OFFENSE COORDINATOR; one that is very active in the quality of coaching that our offensive players receive. although i don't know this for certain, it seems to me that crowton does not do this; he's only a wizard after all.

Miles is 56 years old and in his 10th year as a head coach. His clock management skills are not getting any better.

Ok so if you blame Miles for all of LSU's mistakes, you should equally applaud him for the successes. But you don't? How come dat?

Dis is de fac

I honestly believe that Miles is going to luck into a victory over Florida, Alabama and Auburn. We will be stuck with this clown as a result.

Even in '07 we had a shite load of delay of game penalties and burnt time outs due to running down the play clock.

Hell No! At this point, there should be no question whether or not he will be fired, only when.

Who should have made sure they had two plays called prior to the 1st and goal?
Who should be responsible for the assistant coaching hires and fires?
Who should manage the staff?
Who should manage the flow of the game?
