LSU wins the toss elects to recieve. Peterson recieves the kick, gets to the 30 and BANG, hit hard by Janzen Jackson, Peterson fumbles, Tennessee recovers. One the first play from scrimmage at the 30 yard line, Simms throws a slant strike right toward Peterson to Gerald Jones. Jones Catches the slant for a TD. Tennessee's up 7-0. Book it.

Your entire assumption revolves around the fact that Tennessee actually kicks the ball to PP. Not to mention, electing to receive after winning the coin toss. Don't pay attention much do you?

first of all, we win the toss, we're gonna defend. 100% certain of that. secondly, your coach is gonna PUNT it away from peterson or our first possession will be on YOUR side of the field. that way, we can go 3 and out and still kick a 50 yd field goal.
