Appearing on WWL radio Thursday evening Tigerbait's Bryan Lazare responded to a question from Deke Bellavia regarding Jarret Lee with: "the coaches don't have any confidence in Lee"
If true what with all the sunshine being blown Lee's way by Miles the last few weeks? Could explain why Lee doesn't see the field.

I think its pretty obvious that the coaches dont have much confidence in either qb right now.

From what I have heard it isnt so much the coaches that dont have confidence in Lee as it is the coach that doesnt. I have heard that all the other coaches on the offense what Lee to start and Miles is against it.

If they don't have confidence in Lee, then why in the hell would you put him in the game last week late in the fourth up by 4 points deep in your own territory?

I don't subscribe to Tigerbait, but this guy and another are always on wwl - actually weekly - discussing LSU. I don't know what their credentials are, but I know that they're perceived as having an inside feel for LSU football.

Apparantly JJ lights it up in practice and the coaches are just waiting for it to transfer over to the game.. if he were having shitty practices day in and day out the move would have already been made

i refuse to believe that we do not have 1 QB that is among the top 114 in the country, and the one we got in there obviously isn't.

The fans didn't either until the last month for some reason.
ETA: Meaning I don't know how the fans can despise a QB so badly, love the back up, but when the rolls are reversed, they love the guy they originally hated and hate the guy they originally loved.
