Dude is a freak. He may end up with a better career than PP.

How many turnovers has he managed/ created?

Maybe close to PP. I don't think you will ever see an athlete like PP at LSU for a long time. Dude is one in a billion and just a crazy physical specimen.

Seriously??? Don't get me wrong he's been great so far, but mainly on blitzes...I'd like to see him lock down half the field on a consistent basis before you even begin comparing him to Peterson.

Chicken is on a substantive thread title bender - you may want to add a little to your puny post.

I agree! TM is playing lights-out as a Freshman, though. He might have better stats because he will be tested more(because of his short stature), but he has mad quicks. PP is just a FREAK.

Wow! That didn't take long. Mathieu will be a really good corner, but Peterson is the Freak. Mathieu can reach freak status when he maintains his cover skills after growing to 6-1, 214.

I believe he's been involved in 5 so far: 4 fumbles and 1 int. The young man is definitely a baller.

I remember him in the st aug/wm playoff game last year. He played several positions and pretty much single handily gave st aug a chance to beat wm.

I don't know if he is going to be like PP (who could play at multiple positions) but he sure will easily on multiple Player of the Week awards and with hope all-SEC if not all-American at CB before he graduates.

From a cover corner perspective only, TM may wind up being better than PP. As an all-around athlete, PP is better IMO. But at least some of that is size and weight.

PP is sooooo 2010 ... Can't wait for the new idols on the block.

Tyrann Tyrann Tyrann Tyrann Tyrann Tyrann
Tyrann Tyrann Tyrann Tyrann Tyrann Tyrann

Boy is it a luxury to have this defensive backfield and overall D as well

Closer to a Corey Webster style CB IMO. But whether you compare him to Webster, Laron, or PP...LSU has another future star in the secondary

The important thing is that between PP, TM, and MC we've got shut down corners for years to come. That means the blitzing will continue...

Yes and Sam looks really good on the end. Loston is a monster, if we continue this recruiting up the Defense will be great for years. If we get a quality QB then we could see the same thing with the offense.
