It would be stupid to put PP on offense!

Patrick Peterson is easily the best athlete in the country. He dazzles every week with his defensive prowess and his explosiveness in the return game. But putting him on offense would wear him down for the two facets of his game that are so important to this team! It would hurt his overall game and the position that he actually plays (DB!). This would a debacle for LSU's defense and would take away the only scoring chances that LSU gets in its return game. Les needs to fix his offense, NOT take away the defense's and special team's best player!

I imagine it is only going to be for a play here and there if it happens at all.

Agreed. I know we call this guy Superman, but we can't expect him to physically last the entire game playing every side of the ball. Keep him where he is, because that's where he's most valuable.

Its only stupid from the standpoint that if we brought him in the game for Wildcat type plays, we could've easily done it with Shepard and rested PP.

.. a few snaps on offense side during the game ain't gonna "wear down " Peterson. Although he do have a tendency to "cramp up "

Not stupid at all actually. Just having him on the field may spark some life in our O and WILL give DCs fits. This is even if he doesn't ever see the ball.

He would have to eliminate one of his mid game trips to the shitter and he could do it!!!

In the sense of a decoy, it may work once. But we still need a QB that can get the ball to his receivers

A few plays dispersed throughout the game would wear him down?
Absurd.
Absurd.

Yeah give him a few snaps per half, like Deion did.

If he can't play QB, there's really no need for this.

why would we need another decoy anyway? we have plenty of receivers that are decoys, and an offensive coordinator that is a decoy!

Patrick is kicking arse where he is. We need a QB aka Russell Shepard.

2 plays a game won't hurt.

Playing him ANY on offense just gives him more of an opportunity to get hurt. He already has a cramping problem, no need to stress it further.

With our depth in the defense backfield (Mo and Mathieu) he can take breaks on defense so he will be fresh.
Nobody is talking about playing him the whole game. Just using him like UM used Woodson. Maybe 5-10 snaps a game on offense. Probably using him as a decoy 50% of the time.
