FYI: Alcohol, if done in moderation and not mixed with carb filled mixers, can actually aid in fat loss a little.

Maybe I misread or read over it, but where does it say aid in loss in moderation? I'll have a bourbon or two and notice I drop a bit. This happens once every two weeks or so because I hardly drink anymore. I did know that alcohol stops any fat burning until it is gone.....one of the reasons I stopped.

I'm about to try to give up alcohol for the next 28 days after this concert I go to on sunday. Hoping it really helps me drop a good 5 pounds or so.

I'm restarting the journey. I'm currently 12 pounds heavier than when I started the first time. I went from 302 to 252 in about four months. I told myself I'd never see 300 again. I was wrong. I can see a lot of the things I did wrong to put the weight back on. I've got no choice but to start over or else I'm going to hurt myself even more.
So it's day one again.

ETA - I'm sorta sad to see most of the people who were regulars when I was in this thread in 2012 aren't posting much anymore. I'm glad to get to know the rest of you though.

Welcome back beagle.
I don't post as often due to lack of motivation and commitment.

Welcome back weaglebeagle! Taking that (second) first step is hard to do. Glad to know you've made a choice.

welcome to the thread and good luck with your goals. Looks like you're already doing quite well, so congrats on that.

thanks for recommending me to post here. It's easier when you know people are going through the same thing you are

Hit a personal milestone yesterday. I've been doing this pushups app that works you up to 100 in 5 sets of 20. I hit finally hit it. Feels great to look back at the first few weeks and see the sets I was doing back in April.

Keep getting stuck around the 210-214 mark because I keep shooting myself in the foot with what I eat and drink...really mad at myself for doing that when my progress was doing so well...hopefully I can get back on track
