Really inspiring stuff in this thread. Great work everybody!

Mainly, I've just made dramatic changes to my diet (limit eating out to no more than once per week, eliminated fast food and all sugar-sweetened beverages, increased fiber, added more fruits and vegetables) and started exercising. It's kind of amazing how fast the weight is coming off. Was 256 on January 1.

Great job man. Its amazing how much a better diet coupled with exercise can change the whole composition of your body. The best part is you dont ever have to starve due to esting more often and you are losing weight at the same time.

I haven't lost anything in 10 days. Oddly enough, I've been back in the gym for 2 weeks At least I'm not gaining weight though, so that's good. Finally getting my lifts back up to about where they were when my 3 week break started so hopefully things will start moving again and I can break through to < 220 in the next week or so.
My 1 year anniversary with Nutrisystem is just under 2 months away. I'm really hoping to hit my goal by then, should be close.

Looks like my decision to resist all but one really tiny piece of king cake yesterday worked in my favor since Ive been stuck between 177-178 for almost 2 weeks now.
Whats even more exciting is that my goal was to go from a 42w down to a 36w. I got some jeans for my birthday and not only were the 36's too big but I actually have room in the 34's. Its crazy to think that the last time I wore 34w jeans was in 96 as a soph in HS.

Impressive! I bet it feels great to make that large a change.

I survived mardi gras. Soccer tonight to restart the progress.
Thinking about giving up alcohol for lent (carve out for st. patty's). That should make a significant difference.

I'm scared to step on a scale, a week of indulgence probably didn't help even though I ran 13 miles over 3 days. I feel bigger but haven't confirmed how much I put on since Friday

Awesome, man...congrats. I still wear some of my 42w (with elastic built in) work pants and holy shite do I look like a hobo in them. I'm actually wearing some 38's that I bought around Christmas time that didn't have any of the elastic shite in them and they fit great right now. All of my 38 jeans that I own from the past are pretty much too big.
I think I'm going to have to start a Kickstarter to help buy new clothes when this is all over and done with

Yeah thats the thing that sucks. Out of the 30-40 shirts in my closet, 2-3 actually fit decently. Some of my clothes still have tags on them and sll the dress clothes I bought the day after thanksgiving has to be altered. The positive to to that though is that alterations are typically cheaper than buying new clothes.

Buying new clothes is the worst part of having your body change sizes. Luckily all my shirts fit. It's my waist that changed the most.
Forgot to weigh in this morning.

No alcohol for me until Easter, save for an engagement party I have to go to in a couple weeks. Even then will probably only have a glass of wine or two.
More to detox than to lose weight. Mardi Gras wasn't that rough on me.

Right, good decisions usually have more then one benefit.

Been hitting these pretty hard.
5 grams of fiber and only 10 calories.
They taste damn good too.

I've run 37 miles since the start of the month, I can notice it has helped. Especially after my alcohol binge last weekend
