How you doing with the cigs?
I guess pretty good. I was smoking between 1/2 pack and a full pack a day... last time I bought a pack was Sunday and I still have about 6 or 7 left in there. Big help has been not bringing them to work with me. I'm already to where I don't really crave them throughout the day and when I do it goes away pretty quick. Makes having 1 or 2 when I get home more enjoyable actually. Goal is when these are gone I don't buy another pack and the next time I'm really tempted to go buy one I get a cigar instead.

Not sure how "low calorie" you are going for. But my basic snacks: Quest bars, protein shake, ostrim sticks, cut up cucumbers, cottage cheese, greek yogurt.
ETA: Nice work R2R
Didn't know you were trying to cut back

This range, thanks for the suggestions. I have to tough time giving up chips and popcorn.

I hear ya. Never looked into the calorie numbers but if I needed something crunchy I'd grab a handful of granola or something. Fresh Market has a little tubs of them

This thread is proof that there is no one right way. As long as you are losing with success you are a loser.

Since started PSMF on Tuesday, I've lost 1lb/day. Which is cool. But Idk if I can/want to do that for 7 more days. I may modify it myself and add some calories. Not sure.
Another thing that scares me is the refeed process. I'm supposed at the end of ten days, which is a day I leave for Vegas. Well I won't exactly be doing a controlled refeed. I'll be pounding bourbon and waters and eating like crazy. Plus who knows what else. So I may just gradually increase my caloric intake/day until next Friday to "ease" into the trip.
Sorry. I guess I was just typing my thoughts out.
Keep up the good work everyone! It's the weekend!

I've been staying in my 1700-2000 calorie range and doing 30-60 minutes of cardio a day and keep fluctuating between 212-217

Good luck, dude. I bought e-cigs and eventually just didn't have the desire to smoke anymore. It was a great tool for me to quit. I didn't even mean to, I just literally lost any and all desire to after a month or so. Before I realized it, it had been 2-3 weeks since I had puffed on the e-cig and decided I just wouldn't smoke anymore.

Proud of myself. Went to eat the other night and after a long wait they brought me the wrong dish. I didn't eat the pasta. Also hubs suggested Mexican restaurant at home but I have been craving chips and salsa so I offered to make tacos at home so I will eat a salad and not be tempted.

the cravings haven't been nearly as bad as I thought they'd be. have had on average 3 cigs a day this week which is huge for me. the weekend will test my resolve though I fear.

A little uptick from yesterday. Had a blackend chicken Ceasar salad from capital city grill. Probably the best Ceasar salad I know of in BR. Had it around 8:30 last night though. Shouldn't have ate it so late. Oh well. If I can get through today, ill be ready for my cheat day tomorrow.

seems a bit early to be rewarding yourself with a cheat day or is that part of a specific diet you're following?

Specific. Cheat day once a week. Always Saturday.

Dont worry about this. It doesnt matter what time you eat.
Also, you might want to reconsider the cheat days. They can easily sabotage an entire weeks worth of dieting.

They could. It all depends how is structured and what is actually taken in.
What will your cheat day be like??
Posted on 8/23/13 at 11:32 am to bbrou33
i usually just load up on carbs and try to keep fat low. No cheat this week though.
