Coach Mile's Job rests on Jordan Jefferson's shoulders

At this time it is hard to tell which QB is right for this team. Main reason is he want let us see what Lee can do now that he is more mature and still possesses that rocket quick release arm. I think if JJ continues to regress(which i think he will), Miles better get Lee in the game and at least satisfy the hungry fans. If he does not do this, i think he is going to get blindsided by the best fans in college football. And for the record i have always been a supporter of coach Miles. My skin is now very thin.

Jefferson also needs to grow up in attitude too. He is still acting like a 15 year old high school kid. You see it every week in his face and body language.

Unlike the Saints, LSU cannot afford to buy Miles's contract out. It's not going to happen. Not in this economic situation. To believe otherwise is just dumb.

For anyone to believe that Les Miles contract will prevent LSU from making a change if needed is just dumb.

Unless he posts an actual losing record, it's never going to happen.
Miles will be here until his contract runs out... at the minimum.

I dont agree that anything is going to happen this year. I am not saying it shouldn't just that it won't happen
Lets say we lose the big 4 games and win the rest. We are 8-4 and 4-4 in the SEC. Do you really think Miles will be fired. I just cant see it happening with 13M left on his contract and LSU cutting programs and professors left and right.

I've been saying this since the end of last season.

That coupled with winning 8 of 12 games means he goes nowhere. I wish everyone else could get that.

AD is different from LSU. I think if the money is there, they will get rid of Crowton and Miles

I dont think Jefferson directly causes it, but this is the start of it. Once we finally lose a game bacause of Jefferson, Miles will have completely lost the base. This is the point of no return on bringing Lee in. Let him get comfortable against Tenn instead of throwing him out there against the big boys just to see what happens.

Ive posted this before and Ill post it again. You guys are leaving out a key piece of the contract problem and the problem is Les' and not LSU's. LSU self reported some recruiting problems with a former asst coach who is no longer here. These violations are grounds for "Termination with Cause" with any head coach- especially if the head coach was aware of them. If for some reason Les tanks this year and the big boys want Les gone, they will offer Les a buyout at an undisclosed sum and have the violations as a trump card. The buyout would be much much less than what will be remaining on his contract and Les will either take it and go hang out at his new digs in Destin or take his chances in court where it might take years to get a penny. Should Les take his chances in court to get more money there is a chance he would get nothing and it would not cost LSU anything other than legal fees. Please forget about the contract being a barrier to axing Miles if LSU has to do that.

Miles job rests solely on his decisions.
It is not about JJ´s poor play. It is about a coach who refuses to try a viable option to help his team.
Miles poor decisions will cost him his job, because they are hurting the team and hindering its chances for a championship title.

Nah...Les will get to fire Crowton at the end of the season and use him as the scapegoat. Les will most likely be the coach at LSU next season. But, if we lose 4 SEC games this season, it could get real interesting.

I know it is but it isnt that cut and dry. It will be an absolute PR nighmare for LSU to do that. The faculty will go crazy. 8-4 buys him another year IMO.
Les just seems to have the knack to do just enough so that you cant make a decision one way or the other on him.

if he loses 4 games this year and the offense is still performing the way it is now, with no leadership shown by the most important position on the field, and no passing game, and not even try to make a change, He Will Be Gone.
