Something tells me that Payton has some Graham plays drawn up for this week to make up for the loss of Reggie.

I recognize they do different things, but guys who create mismatches is what Payton thrives on. Just a hunch.

He was in for a couple of plays in the San Fran game.

what i'm really liking is the fact that we are now going to inject graham and ivory into the mix. falcons can't really game plan for that this week. hope we have some good plays drawn up for that big tight end.

it will be fun to watch Drew hitting that guy downfield once he learns the system, his speed and physicality is impressive.

You're not going to see Graham active unless Streif is 100%. With Streif not fully healthy, they need Humphrey in to block.

When Streif is full go, they'll probably activate Graham and give him some looks.

I think it's more of the saints are stacked nicely at TE this year with Shockey, Thomas, and Humphrey and Graham is kept for his development and raw talent moving forward. They'll bring graham along slowly unless forced to play more bc of injuries to another player. Graham will be much more involved next year but as a rookie, they are bringing him along the learning curve nicely bc we are just set at that position.

Strief has been full go since Ivory has (not sure if that was yesterday or two days ago). Its looking like he'll be active, so I'm hoping that bodes well for Graham.

He got some meaningful snaps against San Fran which let him get his feet wet. I'm all for bringing a guy around slowly if its going to benefit his development (which looks to be the case with Gallette) but the guy was a 3rd round pick and although he is raw you don't draft a non-QB purely developmental prospect that high. Even if its just limited packages (something Sean Payton utilizes better than any offensive coach in the game), Graham should be contributing one way or another come Sunday.

Of course, now he'll probably by inactive

Obviously, I didn't realize he was. Didn't notice him in the game.

I was at a party with some damn annoying girl yapping the whole time right next to me. It was hard to even know what was going on.

I hope you are correct. While Shockey is probable Sunday he suffered an injury in practice to his quads. Dave Thomas will be busy.

I sure would like to see Junior get some snaps we need to bring some pressure and Brown isn't getting it done

I just don't think he'll be a factor til later on in the season, he's raw and has a whole lot of stuff to learn!
