Round of applause for Demetrius Byrd for returning for degree

The kid could moped and played vicitm the rest of his life after the accident but he's going back t school to finish his degree and I think he should be commended for it. I wish him the best of luck finishing that great LSU education.

at least he can be like Deuce for the Saints and mentor the receivers maybe?? or at least be there on the sidelines for support??

Good for Byrd but
No.
TT has much more experience than does Byrd in FBS football. Dont compare D byrds stint at LSU with Deuce's 8 year Career with the saints where he set all time marks

Byrd wants to play in the NFL. He said that was is goal.

He is trying to get his degree and show the NFL he has mentally recovered from his accident to take another shot at the NFL.
Also I am sure that LSU is allowing him to use the athletic facilities to get back in shape.
I would assume he would be able to work out at the LSU pro day in the spring.

He was at the game Saturday dancing in front of the student section and doing the bird hand motion thing. He's a funny guy
