Wasn't Randle a QB his senior year in high school? With all this talk about QB play, I am surprised that no one has offered this up as a possible solution...And by NO means am i a proponent of this; I just thought someone would have mentioned this by now.

He was, i watched him play a few games. he was smooth back there running things, and a decent arm......he would just glide when he ran....but I wouln't want him as my qb....

Yes Reuben did play QB at Bastrop his senior year. He was Ok, but not great at QB, but he was the best athlete on the team. He is definately a better WR than QB. As a Junior he was arguably the best WR in the nation.

Come on man give it a rest. Why even start a thread saying this. RR may have the best hands of any wr. He has been the most consistent so far this season (taking into consideration our struggles passing and the fact that tolliver isn't getting the ball thrown his way much for whatever reason). RR is going to be a very special wr in the years to come if we can get someone to throw him the ball. He cants throw it to himself.

This. A lot of players play qb in high school simply bc they are too good to not have the ball in their hands every play. Early doucey was also a qb at st martinville. I'm sure plenty of other skill players on lsu were too. I have no doubt that rr can throw a football pretty damn good, but he is no college qb.

This is kinda like the Kid that Neville in Monroe has at Quarterback now. Last year Diarse was a Freshman that dominated in the State Championship game against Franklington. This year as a Soph. He is the starting quarterback cause he is the best athlete on the team. Last week he intercepted a pass against Marshall Texas and ran it back like 106 yards for a touchdown. Just cause a Kid plays QB in high school dosen't mean he will stay a QB...Terrance McGee will be a prime example of that when he comes to LSU next year.

LSU could really use that kid from Neville. He was amazing last year in the Dome and plays QB like you said, bc he's the best ATH. He'd be a great early signee

I didn't say we shouldn't. RR and TT should get the ball on almost all routes that are 8 yards and up IMO. Shep is a special player and needs to get the ball, but I think hea better suited to do it on screens and short passes along with the hand offs to where he can just get the ball and create for himself.

In high school RR pretty much eluded the defense until someone eventually got open, usually on a crossing route. He wouldnt have the time to do that in college.
