For years I have heard about the amazing atmosphere a night game holds at Tiger Stadium. I doubt there is another Venue in all of College football (outside of Mountaineer Field), I wanted to visit. No way in heck was I going to miss this chance.

Should be a great game.

Quick Question, is there a sports bar within walking distance of the stadium? We should be arriving early and I want to watch the afternoon games.

There will basicly be a sports bar at every tailgate you pass. Tv's, liquor, beer, beer pong/washer/beanbags, tons of food and maybe even a stripper or two!!!!!

I agree, skip the bar. MUCH better atmosphere around campus. A lot cheaper too.

Steve, you sound like a good college football fan and a good guy. Email me at xxxxxxxxxxxx and I can give you directions to our tailgate party. It's about a two iron away from the stadium if you and your crew would like to stop by for a few beers and jambalaya.

Chimes Is a good starting off point in the AM to grab a bloody mary for the walk around and check out some early games. Then head out to the tailgating.

Steve,
There is no need to go to a bar.

The best part of an LSU game is the whole experience. The tailgaiting is not matched anywhere. Come to the game very early. You better be there by at least 10 am. If you are a Tiger fan you will get there much earlier.

Enjoy the tailgaiting. It's an all day affair. You will get some friendly Tiger Baits yelled at you. Smile and talk good football and you will get all you want to eat ( best food in the world right there). All you want to drink. There are TV's everywhere at the tailgates and just walk up and watch some football with some Tiger fans. They will kid you and they will show you some hospitality.

Enjoy the whole experience. Go see Mike the Tigers cage. Walk around and visit many tailgates. Enjoy the girl watchin.

Get ready for an intense stadium experience. Get into the stadium about an hour before game time. Don't stroll in late.

If you run into a drunk. Just smile and move on.

Can't wait to go see the game next year in W. Va. I have always wanted to see a game there at night. Just looked appealing to me seeing it on tv for years. Reminds me of the stadium atmosphere at LSU.

The Viriginia Tech fans that made the trip couldn't believe the grandeur of the whole LSU game experience. They thought they had good tailgaiting until they saw the best place in the world to do it. That is LSU, my friend.

Welcome down Steve. Don't go to Walk On's. Food is terrible, way overcrowded. Like has been stated, any number of tailgates will have TV's and most won't have a problem if you join in for a while. The atmosphere of the campus is something you don't want to miss.

That said, Beat the crap out the 'eers.

You are right, I don't, but I have waited years for this opportunity, and I can't wait. Win or Lose, I know this is going to be one of my best football trips

Steve, this'll be a good experience but if you can stay for a saints game, and get some of that experience... you'll never want to leave..

Huh? This is only if you are a Saints fan. Hatred way overrides hospitality with Saints fans.

My advice...

Pace yourself..

8 PM kickoff could have many Mountaineer fans not even making it to the stadium
