Heavy Rain for PS3 is on sale on Amazon.com for 39.99 with free shipping. A used copy is 49.99 at Gamestop so this is a pretty sweet deal. No link as I am on my phone but it should be easy to find.

I've heard good things about the game including its replay ability. Guess we will have to see.

I agree. I tried playing it again and got bored. The first time through was pretty good.

No it really doesn't have much replayablity which is a real shame for such a story driven game.

I won't spoil but they made it seem like our decisions where much more important than they turned out being in the end.

GoW3 kicked this game in the nuts and laughed at it.

So did Mass Effect 2.

This, Bayonetta, and Reach would be the only games that can even compete with Heavy Rain so far, IMO.

Never got into ME.

Heavy Rain is just so original. It's something that has never been done before. The story is flawless. I fell in love with the characters. The gameplay is intriguing and challenging. The choices have real consequences.

The only downfall is the weak replay value.

With that said, I think Heavy Rain will fall from my top spot by the end of the year. Black Ops, Assassins Creed, Little Big Planet 2, Civilization V, FIFA, Fable, and the Force Unleashed all have potential to grab my top spot.

Maybe you should try a little harder. It seems to be in the front running for most websites GOTY. I can't make you like a game, but ME2 is fantastic.

The story is far from flawless. There were huge plot holes

Plot Holes

The game was original and the graphics were great...Thats about it.

The story was completely spoiled by the plot holes, the voice acting was HORRENDOUS, and having to still do mundane stupid little tasks up to the very end of the game made it get repetetive and took away from the replay value.

Just my opinions though.... I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Don't talk to me like I'm 5 years old. I didn't say I didn't like the game, I didn't say it was bad, I just said I didn't get into it. I was in high school when it came out, and I never really played it.

Do you seriously think I don't know this? Once again, it is my opinion. Not IGN's.

None of those are "huge plot holes". Those are small inconsistencies that have no serious implications on the story.

No it wasn't.

I agree with this.

Sorry didn't mean to make you think I was talking to you that way. I know its your opinion and that great.

You can call them small inconsitencies if you want, but all those small inconsistencies added up make the story anything but "flawless"

I respect your opinion, but for me it ruined the story.

SPOILERS

I think they cut a scene out with Madison that would've explained her looking up information on the case which would be how she finds out about Ethan, Shaun, Shelby, and Jayden. It would also explain why she has Jayden's cell # programed in her phone at the end. I didn't think it was a MAJOR plot hole that she was surprised who the killer was, but the game just seems to assume that you know that Madison knows a lot about the case.

With that said, this may have been the most disappointing game of the year for me. I heard that any of your characters can die at any time. Instead there is only 1-2 chances with each character that they can die. I think this would have created more drama and much more re-playability. Once you know the characters are invincible at certain points, there is no drama.
