++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Star cornerback Patrick Peterson, who covers top Tigers receivers in practice, is as mystified as anyone over why LSU's passing game hasn't been more productive.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

He must be planning on letting JL emerge then.

I don't think anyone is asking JJ to throw the ball for 300 yards every game.............

seems everyone from the QB to the All-American CB are mystified w/ the playcalling. Only Miles is dumb enough to think coddling your QB vs the weaker part of the schedule will prepare him for the real tests down the line a year after he led the worst offense in over a decade

At first I thought this thread meant Matt Flynn was coming back... then I realized the even more exciting part..

And we complain about coaches throwing players under the bus? He just threw his coaches under the bus. The same ones trying to cover his rear.

Not sure if its possible for a player to throw a coach under the bus

Id just like to hear something come out of JJ's mouth that would lead me to begin to believe in him.
Just one thing.

doesn't know how they are game planning over there. PP hits the nail on the head. Miles and Crowton are not game planning a passing attack.

That's the last thing he's planning. He's talking about dropping the ultra conservative play calling.

That's impossible since your head is stuck up JL's arse big time.

Iff JJ can throw the ball every day in practice against PP then I don't see why he should be scared to throw it against anybody else in the nation.

Russell Shepard said he and his fellow receivers have to take some of the blame for some of those failures, and by extension, quarterback Jordan Jefferson's low passing numbers.

Shepard said he dropped two passes he should have caught, one of which would have resulted in a touchdown.

"There's two throws that Jordan made that would have put him over 100 yards, that would have gave him that touchdown,'' Shepard said. "I had to put that (on) myself. ... As a receiving corps, we have things we have to work on. It's not all Jordan.''

quote:

2nd Qtr:
3rd and 11 at MSST 15 Jordan Jefferson pass incomplete to Russell Shepard.

3rd and 7 at MSST 34 Jordan Jefferson pass incomplete to Russell Shepard.

4th Qtr:
3rd and 5 at MSST 37 Jordan Jefferson pass incomplete to Russell Shepard.

3 drives, 3 incomplete passes to Shepard on 3rd down.

But nice of Shep to own up to it. My bad, he says.
