that's my forecast. certainly, bama, arky, florida and auburn are our most formidable opponents left on the schedule. i haven't seen bama play, but i think we have the hosses to beat the others. say we go 2-2. yea, we might go 1-3 but we might go 3-1 also. i say we win all of the other games on the schedule.

10-2 would need alot of breaks in the big games and the defense to play lights out. I like your optimism, but in the big games we won't be able to hide our offense. I hope they get it figured out by then because we have NC talent on this team.

We will not beat them unless the offense improves. Not sure 10-2 gets us to the BCS this year. I predict we will have two Non AQs undefeated (Boise, TCU) and the Pac-10 and Big-12 get two in (Oregon, Stanford, Texas, and Oklahoma).

The SEC looks a little weak this year. UF isn't the same and UT is struggling bigtime. I have no idea what's going on with Ole Miss as they are just awful so far.

Despite our offensive problems, 9 wins is probably a safe bet. 10 wins is doable if we can find anything that resembles a passing game.

Really the only way Stanford would get an at Large BCS bid frankly is if the Pac 10 winner is in the BCS CG and the Rose takes them. By the same token if the SEC champ is in the the BCS CG, then the Sugar would likely take an SEC team that qualifies, certainly they would take LSU over Stan/Ore/BSU/TCU. Odds are good the SEC gets 2 BCS bids if 2 SEC teams are in the top 10. 10-2 would prolly have LSU in the top 10

We are always undefeated going into the Florida game. After that we have Floida, Bama, Auburn, Arky, and Ole Miss.

We have a really good defense and kicking game and a decent running game. If the passing game improves and we get a few breaks I think we can have a 10 win season.

We will win just enough games for those over paid coaches to stay at LSU and we will have to go through this again next year.9-3 or 8-4 with their salary just isn't good enough for me.

...agreed with cautious optimism ... 10-2 is possible, 9-3 more probable .. but, then , 8-4 also possible ... ah , who-the -heck neauxs! ..

If LSU goes 8-4 Les will not be the coach next year. It would probably mean limping home 3-4 after a 5-0 start. It would mean a third loss to Florida and Bama and probably 3 out four to Arky.

After watching other sec action yesterday, I think out of ark. bama or florida. I think we have better chance of beating florida. Unless a lot of improvement ark and bama will be very very hard for us to beat.

Hell we could go 11-1 Florida hasnt impressed anyone, the score doesnt indicate it but the game against UT was a lot closer, we can go to Florida and win its not impossible

UT must not have a lot of dept. They start out strong, but second half they start to fall apart. Now if Ole Piss beats us this year as bad as they look.

that is so unrealistic that it is difficult for me to believe you even have watched us play, much less that you are an LSU fan, or have any knowledge about college football at all. thanks for coming over on our board and espousing your unbiased wisdom. please stick around so we can continue to enjoy your insightful analyses.

nope, just a troll. There is nothing remotely realistic about saying this team will go 6-6 at best. We play Tulane, McNesse, Tennessee and Ole Miss at home, all of those are teams are terrible. I have many of the same concerns about the coaching staff and the direction of the program, but these coaches have not lost to a non-BCS team at LSU and haven't lost to a losing team at LSU since Tenn in 05 and that was under extreme circumstances.

8-4 is realistic, 6-6 is not based on what we've seen the last few years. Last year we were 9-4 and had the #112 offense in CFB, so saying the offense hasn't improved is not a reason for such ridiculous pessimism.
