Yeah GT ranked ahead of us and the almighty Trojans too....who were taken to the wire by who? Virginia..... Come on.....These guys who write these articles have an agenda.....I agree we have talent and we have yet to truely tap into that......That's the scary part...If we can get our QB settled in whether it be Jefferson or Lee, we're one of the most dangerous teams.....One thing were missing is big time experience.

Georgia Tech at 23 ahead of LSU???? Ridiculous. Why does the ACC get so much love and attention.

GT starts the year every single year overrated, and it happens again. We'd kick their butts like every other ACC opponent, except the U!

They have transferred the talent to tackles. We just need to worry about points.

Tackling still needs some work, particularly D-backs. Lots of hitting and little wrapping up. Doesn't bother me yet, thrilled at the hitting, at least.

thats a fair assessment. It seems like he does more than just looking at final scores.

So, LSU (2-0) is ranked #24.

But Oregon State (0-1, loss to TCU) is ranked #19?

I don't MSU leaving with a win. A good game maybe, but not a win.

defense wins Championships and that is one thing we have is a defense! Offense puts fans in the seats and keeps them there but a defense will allow that offense the luxury of not having to score all those points, just by what you saw last weekend in Vandy. That is called "DOMINATION"!

On the money +1

"I know I wrote last week that LSU should win a few SEC games before it deserved a ranking, but in looking at the teams outside the Top 25, I couldn't think of one the Tigers wouldn't be favored against. This team has top 10 talent, but it still must translate that talent into points and tackles. That's the maddening thing about LSU. I can envision the Tigers whipping Mississippi State this week, but I can just as easily envision the Bulldogs leaving Tiger Stadium with a win. LSU will have to erase that nagging suspicion before it rises to a place in the poll more commensurate with the talent on the roster."
frick that noise.

His criticism that LSU is not playing up to its capability might be correct, but his ranking on that basis is moronic. Because LSU didn't play like a top ten team in winning its first two games, it gets ranked 24th behind five one-loss teams including winless Oregon State and mediocre-at-best Georgia Tech?

This guy is more impressed with Winsconsin's win over San Jose St than with our road win over Vandy. Douche.

I'm not saying it's meaningful this early in the season, but the Sagarin rankings are far from a joke. I suspect you've never worked in the gaming industry because if you did you would understand Jeff Sagarin's significance.

I'm sick of this - I'm officially rooting for the opponent of every team ranked above us. If they're playing each other, I'm backing the lower ranked team. This will continue until we have the respect we deserve.

We lost 4 games last year 4 - three of which are to the #1, #11 and #15 on this list (and we're undefeated now), and Staples QUESTIONS if we need to be in HIS top 25?

Ignorant, biased or worse...

UGA would be favored against us right now, sadly. I still like our chances against every team on the list, up to, and including #1. We'll get plenty of opportunities to prove Staples wrong.
