for an NFL team. After all of the arguments, statistics, hyperbole, and anecdotal evidence submitted by the Rant NFL talent evaluators I was convinced that there was NO WAY Hester was going to be on an NFL roster for more than a year at best.

Thank you rant. You have reaffirmed that the posters that tout themselves as experts in one way or another are in fact idiots.

He's not starting at running back so to some degree the rant was right.

You're an idiot. Very few, if any, people said that Hester was not good enough to play in the NFL. They said that he wasn't good enough to play tailback in the NFL...and they were right.

In related news, it has finally been confirmed that paraplegics have trouble going up and down stairs.

He is a very effective player at the NFL level, and he was a very good college football player.

It amazes me that less than 100% of LSU fans are Hester fans.

bullshite. I sat and read most of those stupid arse posts. I'm not sure if I remember you as being one of the amazing talent scouts but I'm guessing by your response that you were one.

It's ok dude, I've always thought you were not very smart.

And MOST of the posts were about how it was nice that he got drafted, but he wasn't going to be playing for long.

The fact that he even sees time on the field proves about 200-300 rant-based NFL talent scouts wrong.

Living near San Diego I know first hand what the Chargers and their fans think about Hester. I know what the RB's think about Hester and he makes critical blocks for them. Hester is loved by Bolt fans and because of Hester their are many new LSU fans in Southern California.

Glad to hear that he's a good ambassador for the school. If you listened to KC fans you would think all LSU players drafted in the past few years have been busts.

not sure who you are talking about. Hester is pretty beloved by LSU fans, and many thought he would play in the NFL. shite he was a 4th round pick

No doubt, LE, but there was a contingency of posters on here that took the whole Williams/Hester debate a little more personally than they should have. It seemed that every time Hester's name was brought up in the draft there was a negative post about him.

It was 2 years ago so I'm upset I don't remember particular names myself.

LSU players have been quite successful in the NFL. Faulk, Henderson, Hester, etc. We Tiger fans have much to be proud of.

It was probably people saying he wouldn't be a running back in the NFL. Those people had a valid opinion and it turned out correct.

Have you not read anything I've posted so far? That IS NOT who I am talking about.

As far as it turning out to be correct, you are PROBABLY right, but we are in his 3rd year in the league. Let's just let this whole "career" thing ride out.

Nice to see a guy get totally taken out of a play like that. It's a thing of beauty.
