Overall JJ is not an SEC calibur QB and honestly not one that we can win with not even with our defense this year. But the clue to me was the swing pass to Ware on the sideline. That was a touchdown that was wasted because the pass was POORLY thrown. If you can't see that then the point is mute. Not sure if JL is better but he needs to get some reps and at least see a series or two in the first half to get in the flow that would also allow JJ to see the action from a differnt point of view.

Im not defending JJ but also frustrated that our superstar super talented WR group would touch so many balls and still drop them.

This. If the ball hits your hands, you should have caught it. Rewatch the game and there were at least 5 times where this happened. If this group of WR's want to claim to be the best in the SEC or nation, they better quit eating butterfingers before each game.

I'm not defending JJ by any means. He had a horrible game, but so did the WR's.

Part of the problems is how well all the players no each other. They know exactly when JJ gets down which happened immediately after the first series in the Vandy game. JJ's frustration effects the whole team when he gets down.

You ever tried to catch a football thrown behind you at your ankles while running a slant route?

Watch the replay tonight and you will see what your drinking did to your eyes last night. They weren't horribly thrown balls and more than a few were catchable.

All we threw were slants and swing passes. I hate to dogpile on JJ, but you have put those between the numbers.

Our raison' d etre is to get the ball into our playmakers hands. He completed 8 freaking passes against Vandy.

Yea, it always kinda starts that way, then somebody gets their feelings hurt and it all goes terribly wrong.

You won't convince the people who disagree with you about Les, JJ, or JL.

Or Billy G now that you've started yet another revolution.

It hurts bad enough to catch a ball in your numbers when you are in a defensable position and get hit by a safety.

How do you think it feels to be any awkward contorted positions trying to catch a ball when a safety comes in and lays the wood.

Inaccurate passing doesn't do receivers any favors trying to catch passes.

This is college football with 5 star WR's accross the board. If the ball hits your hands, you are expected to make the catch, Period.

come on man. are you saying none of our 5 star receivers can catch? you are in denial. jefferson was sleepwalking and played terrible. we better anticipate that it will happen again and if it does against a good opponent we will lose bad if the coaching staff doesn't yank JJ while the game is still winnable. JJ is the most inconsistent qb at lsu in my memory. he does have periods where he plays well but much of his tenure is characterized by being "out of sync". while i'm not qualifyed to say why this happens, it ain't the coaching. it's time to hold him ACCOUNTAABLE for his results.
