I think jj should be the starter largely because jl is too risky to have on the field. if the defense can keep us in every game like they did last year, then I think we have more explosiveness and other ways to win 1) big play potential of shep 2) punt return ability of pp
3) ridley better long yardage threat than scott 4) defensive sack or causing turnovers (dl much better than last year).

in short, we have more ways to win a close game this year than last year and jl is too risky although I think jl should get at least 1 series or more each game.

exactly. You can't have a superstar QB at all times, but LSU has a lot of talent and they need to lean on it.

What, in God's name, makes you think that JJ is less risky? Do you not see interceptions in the red zone? Sacks taken in lieu of getting rid of the ball? Intentional grounding in the pocket? Passes thrown at ankles? Running the option 5 yards deep in the backfield, and making poor pitches? Fumbling snaps?

And you don't see the "risk" in this?
