How much longer... However, what if Lee goes back to old ways with picks. Can Shepard pass well, & get it to the weapons

My favorite is how we take a 5 star #1 dual threat qb from the state of texas and turn him into some sort of frankenstein monster with dumb runs up the middle that everyone can see coming...

It's crazy to think Lee is the answer. I'd give him a shot, but he's not getting us to Atlanta, either.

Might be time to recruit a QB.

sheppard is not an sec qb, he does not have the arm...and you must be able to pass some in the sec to win a championship. If Lee goes back to old ways then jefferson is put back in. That simple. I honestly think lee deserves a shot and who knows, he may have seen the "light" so to speak. He seems confident and already has the tools. We can't win the sec with the qb play we got last night...period. I hope les and co. realize that....and i'm a miles supporter.

"Might be time to recruit a QB"

Anyone know what big time QB's are available for the future?

Ok, for my first post, I'll say this. I've been watching the Tigers for to many years and I'm gonna have a ton of responses to this one. Sometimes you just have to let a kid either prove of disprove his ability to play. Everyone who thinks Lee is not the answer may be right, but most answers are based on one game against La Tech and his pick six season in '08, but in turn says one bad game shouldn't be held against Jefferson, can someone explain that to me? Jefferson has had his chances, time for Lee to get a shot, period. Give him a couple games, if he's not the answer, we're in trouble anyway. The time has come to find out what the kid can do. I think with Jefferson as the starter, he's had enough games for us to know what we have with him. I personally think, JMO, that Lee reminds me alot of Favre, please don't laugh me off the board. He can stick it in there, make all the throws and yes stretch the field. We will have to expect to live with some picks, but overall, the production from the "O" should be greatly improved. Again, JMO, but what could it hurt by playing him.

LSUcan, SHeppard was way over rated coming out of high school as a "quarterback". He definitely is a 5* athelete. Did you check his passing stats in HS, his completion percentages was somewhere in the 50's, that would get worse in college.

There is a reason why other schools didn't recruit him as a QB.

But at this point, I'd line him up at QB and let him run around 30 times a game like the dude at Michigan.

Justsmokin, please no more running QB's, we don't do that well here. We need to be able to throw

Lee needs a shot. I hope he has learned a lot during the last year. Forget about all the pick 6 (I know it is difficult to do that but just forget it for now) and lets hope that he has improved enough to get this coaching staff to have confidence in him to open up the play book. Right now with Jefferson at the QB position it is almost predictable as to what the next play will be. I know Crowton and Miles has a lot to do with that but JJ just doesn't show any signs of improvement from last year. He would be a great wide out but not a great SEC QB.
