He looks like a guy who's finally gotten it out of his system, but still has 15 games to endure.

I think for the first time in his career he could seriously get hurt this year, teams start putting heat on him and he starts taking those shots like the Saints already showed them how, he could go down for the season!

I think we won and now were on to the 49ers. That's what I think

If that o-lineman hadn't been behind Favre, Harper would have driven him through the foundation of the Superdome, and Favre would have really been "out of it".

especially Loadholt or whatever his name is, they better get McKinney back fast because Loadholt is gonna get him killed, holt got away with a lot of holding, grabbing DE's by the facemask and all!

He definitely did not want to get hit.

I've never seen him play like that.

My prediction...

If the Vikes continue to lose, Favre falls out of the limelight. We will then hear rumblings about his possible mid-season retirement.

I agree favre looks like he regrets coming back. I just hope he gets fired up for the GB games because we need the Packers to get tagged with some L's so we can enjoy home field again.

Fewer....i agree with your post but i think what Favre is really hoping for is a high ankle sprain injury or a season ender.....an easy out. his heart didn't seem to be in it...that "devil on his shoulder" saying "you can do it" when he had the "intervention" from teammates that flew in?.....too much for his ego to resist.

That's what I'm saying. If he's stuck in a mediocre season (and the press loses interest), he may use an injury as a reason for retiring. I think the media attention is as big a draw for this guy as winning a championship.
