they almost always are at home, esp against the SEC powerhouses. they beat UGA periodically and scare hell out of BAMA and UT a lot. they do have a lot of SEC caliber players, just not enough to provide year long depth and they get pumped when playing us. expect a tough and close game with, hopefully, LSU pulling out the victory. a bonus: this kind of game will light the rant up. it might even have some calling for Miles head. the expected rain will probably cause us to keep it simple on offense (which we may do anyway) and become mudders. if ridley doesn't protect the ball, look out. a 17-10 final score would not at all surprise me. take your blood pressure meds before the game.

Lets hope not. Hopefully CLM wont get out coached again. I'm hoping for Ridley and Tolliver/Randle to have a break out game, esp with Vandy's weak secondary!

WTF is with this attitude - it is Vandy - As far as probability is concerned winning is almost as close to 1 to be approximated as just 1.

Can't stand reality? Vandy usually plays teams close early in the season. They have no quality depth so when the season wears them down they fold.

I'm hoping they make up for the 2TDs they let slip away.was going for 34-6 but am hoping for 48-3. We need one of those wins right about now

I fully agree with you. Some on here forgot about last year when it took us to the wire until brandon taylor picked-off that ball that the vandy receiver bobbled in the 4th quarter, vandy was driving for the tie. they were at the LSU 15 yd line. They also had a ton of drops in the 4th quarter of that game which hurt the qb stats. LINK ]. They improved, but were raped last week by officiating. My point is they will be better than last year, and yes, we better beware of their passing game including putting a spy on the qb.

Though the Commodores lost 23-21 to Northwestern last Saturday in its season opener, Caldwell was pleased with the performance after having to start nine new players.

“We had 400 yards of offense and the defense played well,” he said.

Zac Stacy ran for a 33-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter, but Vanderbilt failed to convert the two-point conversion due to a botched snap.

The Commodores also received a good performance from junior quarterback Larry Smith, who was 19 of 30 for 240 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 48 yards.

Smith, though, was held to 88 yards passing and completed just 11 of 24 attempts against LSU last season. He was sacked three times, intercepted once and ran for minus-6 yards on 13 carries.

Agreed, I don't care if its Vandy they are at home and as it has been beat to death here on the rant, LSU hasn't dominated an opponent in a long time. And we haven't dominated Vandy in years.

CLM has to be feeling some heat. I say we get midieval on Vandy and MSU. WVU struggled with Marshall, so hopefully we can take them down in front of a home crowd. I say we go 4-0! IMO

agreed.
How is everything with the "University of Katy" football program? Another shot at a title this year? I lived there until 2005.

WHAT? You are out of your mind. Where was the "beat the shite out of" last year. WE sweated that entire game until KW's late score. Here is my previous post knucklehead.

Man, maybe Im crazy but I think we afre going to roll 2nite. People keep saying how tough they play us up there. I think the last time we played them in Nashville was in 2005 and we won 34-6. If we dont turn the ball over this one wont be close. The media wants us to lose because they all have Les on the Hot Seat, and it fits their story line for the season. LSU fans just need to chill and stop overeacting. We are not in Norman or Oxford we'll be ok.

The Katy tigers are picked once again to win their District. They won it all two years ago. I moved here in 05 from Lafayette and live in Cinco Ranch, I couldn't believe the size of the high schools here.
