can someone explain the logic behind not wanting to see what he can do?

Yeah because he isn’t worth a shite. I mean re-watch the 4th quarter of the Bama game and LA Tech game last season. Not to mention that 16 interceptions with an NCAA record 7 pick sixes in only 8 starts in 2008 stinks pretty bad too.

Besides JJ passed for 75 percent of his passes with 2 touchdowns including a beautiful 51 yarder right on the money last Saturday. As long as JJ continues to play like that, we don’t need JL.

10 yards a completion isn't amazing, but that's not bad. We barely threw the ball. We had like 36 rushes to 21 passes...his numbers would have been better if we would have passed more. I figured this was just common knowledge.

Statistically flawed. One pass out of 21 attempts thrown deep=51 yards. All other completions, once that one is removed, average=5 ypc. So, therefore, if we assume the same ratio (based on this game, and all of 2009) then his average ypc would have actually dropped up until somewhere in the next 20 attempts, he threw deep again, and even using TheDoc's favorite padded stat of completion %, there is only a 2 in 3 chance of that being complete.

So, guess it is not really common knowledge...

So, barely any time left, nothing is open, he realizes he has no TO's and he tries to throw the ball away...which you can't argue that's what he was trying to do, but he couldn't reach the sideline. Then the clock ran out. That's not even remotely close to the type of int's Lee has thrown.

Please go back and watch the Spring Game. The ball was sailed (on a screen pass might I add...) and Randle didn't even attempt for it because he knew he couldn't get it.

Bama: #1 defense in the country
LA Tech: no running game because we lost our #1 and #2 backs

Yet yall keep going back to what happened 2 years ago

2008 JL =/= 2010 JL

In 2008, JLee played in 11 games, had 9 sacks. JJ played in 2.5 games had 8 sacks In 2009, JLee played in 1.5 games, had 3 sacks. JJ played in 11 games, had 34 sacks I think you've misplaced your sack meter

Well, I guess I can't say that this statistic is inaccurate. But the pass protection from the offensive line was much better in 2008 than it was in 2009, so the comparison really has no validity. And I seem to recall watching a lot of balls thrown from our QB go to the other endzone in 2008...

I'm not trying to dog JL though. Seriously, I'm just giving my opinion as to why I think JJ is a better choice for this team.

I hope an Admin appropriately penalizes you for not reading the stickied thread about three lines up from the one you just posted in. I got the banhammer for saying kinder things about a would be recruit than the names you call a kid that had every reason to leave and hasn't. Dead Fish is appropriate-you stink.

I didn't say it didn't, but you're right a tough guy isn't just dropping fbombs. It's threatening someone no matter what the threat is
