Shep .... too small?

I'm a little concerned that RS didn't put on enough weight during the offseason. Given the amount of plays he touched the ball in the Spring Game I think he'll be used a lot more in the offensive scheme this year, as he should, but I'm a little concerned that his 180 lb frame won't be capable of holding up over the course of an SEC season. It seems that we've been pretty predictable (and not much misdirection) in our play calling and I'd hate for that to equate to RS having a big target on his back.
So, is Shep to small to run the ball in a Crowton/Miles offense?

I keep hearing that they want him in the Percy Harvin type role.
Percy Harvin with MN is 5-11 and 184
Shep is 6-1 188 now.
I don't think he's too small.

Really? I thought Harvin was closer to 200 lbs. Dude has got biceps bigger than Keiland's calves

two more years he might be fat and running a 4.7. OUtside of Trindon, i feel like no one ever stays fast at LSU.
Still can't wait to watch him this year

Percy was over 200lbs his last year at Florida. I remember he bulked up. But yea, most of his career at Florida he was about 185.

Harvin at 184 is a probably more solid than RS at 188, but really, we are not talking about a 150 lb basketball kid. If he eats a hot dog, he's 190.
It's ok.

he doesn't need to put on weight. he is a scat receiver/back/qb. i want him elusive.

100% sure. He bulked up his Junior year at Florida and was over 200lbs. But before that, he definitely was in the 180s. I remember him saying he wanted to bulk up for durability in the SEC.
RS is fine where he is at. We need a true slot receiver on our roster to compliment our big receivers. LSU has had too many possession type receivers recently, we need a game breaker to compliment them.

I'd say LaFell was more of a game breaker WR than a possession guy. But I think I see what you're saying.
