So my wife and I share season tickets with another couple. We're young and we're newlyweds so we can't quite take on the finances of a full season by ourselves so we split with them 50-50 and pick the games that we want.

My wife had been on the wait list for years (Since 2005) and got offered tickets last year so we took them but we wouldn't have been able to afford it without splitting. Well we worked out the playoff tickets last year and my wife and I went to the Vikings game, so this year we offered them first choice of tickets and they picked the Vikings game.

But we now see that they have offered them for sale. They are SELLING their tickets to the first game of the year! Now, I know that we split the cost and they got that game fairly but it kinda pisses me off that my wife and I who WANT to go wouldn't think of selling them just to make a profit.

Am I out of line being pissed off? Thanks for listening.

If the tickets are in your wife's name. You tell them that shite ain't going to fly and if they do that, don't expect tickets next season.

No, i would be mad, but I see their side too.

but it is really theirs to do what they want with it. I would just make sure you save a little extra money and buy them outright next year though.

To think this guy couldn't afford the full tickets cause of money and all he could do is sell 2 games a year and have the whole season paid for most likely. Thought that was funny.

Grow a set and say that's not cool and if they do this... you won't be offering them tickets again.

they obviously want to make money. It doesnt sound like they are selling because they cant make the game.

You cant rip off your friends.

good pt on who's name they are in.

You could express "I could do that shite myself".

You might work out some kinda other split options with you taking those.

depending on how they are selling them you could try to create a false account/name, say "yeah, yeah, I want them", try and string them along as long as possible and maybe stick them with them.

frick that shite, I'd be pissed. You should offer to trade any game of their choice, maybe your highest profile game. If they're friends they should understand that you really want to go. If they would rather a couple hundred bucks than to help some friends out, then they're not that good of friends. Either way, it wouldn't hurt to try. No way I would miss this game if I had possible tickets.

Yeah, we will definitely be addressing this issue after the season and before the next season; I just wanted to know if I was out of line getting pissed off about this. I'm a "spirit of the game" kinda guy and I think it's bullshite to accept tickets for games that you don't plan to attend.

It shifts your reason for having tickets from fan to business.

This is why I love TD. There are some devious and clever people on here. They are selling them through ticket exchange.

can you not just tell them not to do it and give them to you? I have tix with 13 people and I know for a fact if I sell my ticket to someone other than a friend I probably would lose my seat next season. Since the tix are in your wifes name you can go to her account online and print them out, which would make the other tickets void.

I would defiantly bring it to their attention and go ahead and give them their money back for half the tix and sell them yourself, or go to the game. IMO, they should not have the option to sell for profit, the tickets are in your name, you sold them for face value under the assumption they would use the tickets to go to the game, not re-sell for prifot.
