Miles-Crowton-Gonzales Plan of Attack

During the spring game, we saw an occasion or two when Miles asked for a certain play, specifically one time on a goal line situation. It was only the spring game, and he had an agenda to evaluate players, but it still seemed like it could easily be typical of his manner in a game, and perhaps requests plays that are not in the flow of the gameplan. I know, I know, it was a goal line situation in this case.....
Now we have Crowton and Gonzales, who both will need to be very cooperative with one another on play scheming and real-time play calling, and then Miles will need to be in agreement also.
How are these three going to get all of their opinions and voices heard and stay on the same page?
Or, will the egos get in each others way, leading to a disjointed approach to offensive play calling?
Perhaps Gonzales will be given the real power, and then only have to mesh his preferred playcalling with occasional shared calls from Crowton, and Miles will stay out of it 99% of the time?
Leaves one wondering how integrated the 3 of these egos will be on gameday...
I know this is pretty obvious of a concern to many, but I think this one factor will be the most important factor in the upcoming season, save the QB development.

Does seem like conflicts will be unavoidable.
My best guess is that, like you said, BG has more authority. GC was allowed/told to look around in the offseason (e.g., the rumors of him back to Chicago). Perhaps Les told him that he was bringing someone else in and GC could either leave or play nice..

My biggest worry. I don't know what the dynamics were last year and not sure of what they will be this year. Afraid though that it could make it more complicated.

Maybe, like Bobby Bowden, GC is our Ambassador OC

The bulk of the game planning (i.e. what plays will be put in as part of the game plan) will be done prior to the game with input and agreement from all offensive coaches. Sure the coordinator will read the flow of the game and call more runs if we are running well etc. So its not like anyone including Les Miles, will ask for a play to be called out of left field that wasn't practiced or part of the original game plan.
On another point, it is freaking hilarious to me how some rantards would rather the wide receivers/passing game coordinator, whom has never been an offensive coordinator in his life, call the plays and have the offensive coordinator and head coach keep their mouths shut. Similar to all the Zach Lee hype. I know its human nature to think the grass is always greener, but give me a break

Give Crowton a Tiger dog and a pack of hot peanuts. Say, "See you back in here at half time. Enjoy the game."

The Miles/Crowton plan of attack will be based upon the French model of WWII

Gonzales can't be any worse then Crowton when it comes to play calling. Crowton's play calling was pretty god awful last year.

I'd call it experienced putridness. Yes, 112/120 is putridness.
Experience can be good, and experience can be bad, Crowton has sucked monkey balls 2 years running. I'd take my chances with BG over GC, unless GC shows something entirely refreshing and effective

Offense was pretty damn good in 2008 (less the pick-sixes) ... defense was the problem. 2009 definitely sucked monkey balls.

Here's the deal: Miles should have learned from the 2008 experience that when there are co-coordinators, there is no coordination! He made a mistake in 2008 with this approach. If he does it again (with the offense), it won't be ignorance. It will be stupidity! My guess is that one or the other (i. e., Crowton or Gonzales) will be in charge, with Miles supervising.

Could you plug in the name of coaches of just about every college team in the country? We don't really know who will actually make the calls but the game plan will be set with down and distance and field position before the game. The plays called will be determined by what is working. I think that most of the input will be put in while game planning. I think that Gary Crowten will be the one who actually makes the calls.

You gave away the secret. Most of the retardoes on this board have no idea what game planning involves.

Wait ... you mean the coaches don't scribble plays on a napkin and send them in with a runner?

End of discussion. I can't believe this was even a thread. I think there will be fewer penalties b/c BG will be on the field to help implement the personel and get the plays in.

This isn't how it works. You have your plays and defense adjusts and you counter (constraint play). To mix it up doesn't mean to run plays at random, it is taking advantage of the D cheating up, back and adjusting to your play success. You have a playlist that consists of were gonna do this, and if they do that and stop it, we'll do this. This is from pee-wee football to NFL.

Answer me this.
Why would you have anyone in the booth who didn't know what he was looking at?
Are you going to give the guy who knows the least the best vantage point?
VIP seating in the booth was part of BG's contract.
