This actually makes me happy.

I still think Crowton is terrible, but this is a step in a better direction.

sounds to me like we have some offensive co-coordinators.

I remember the last time we had some "co-coordinators".....

I'd almost prefer Gonzales on sidelines because of his intensity, a lah Muschamp but offensive.

This tends to make me believe that Crowton is not calling plays. The coach in the booth is usually more the strategist. Hmm....

was talked about earlier in the year, being done so that Crowton has more face time with the QB between series...

Bingo !

Or at least BG will be 'suggesting' the plays.

Are there any OCs that usually stay on the sideline in CFB ?

If I am not mistaken, Jimbo Fisher has been on the sidelines the last few years for FSU. This doesn't mean a whole lot other than they have faith in Gonzales being able to see the field and process it for Miles/GC IMHO.

Miles figures he's got another year at LSU even if this season is only 8 wins. He's given his friend Crouton a year to function with Gonzales or pack his bags. I think this could backfire in CLM's face but thats his decision as it is his job.

Just my 2 cents.

As long as someone is there to talk to Jefferson when he comes off the sideline.

It's been absolutely pathetic for the last two seasons to watch two young QBs (Lee and Jefferson) come off the sideline and not one coach talks to them about what they are seeing.

It is one of the biggest coaching blunders under the Miles regime.
