Not that I disagree with this legislation, but I have never seen marlin served as food.

It is prized in Mexico as a food fish.

Bill fish are off limits to commercial fishing in the US however they can be caught in south american countries. I had to opportunity to buy marlin at my old family's seafood company but thought it was weird it was offered. Didn't think it would be a huge hit here.

I was in Cabo a few weeks ago and saw it listed at a sushi place while walking around the marina.
