According to Guilbeau??? Anyone have any scoop? Would think Prescott (from Shreveport) would take the offer for sure.

LSU has offered a scholarship to Jacoby Brissett (6-5, 225), who is Rivals' No. 9 dual-threat quarterback out of Dwyer High in West Palm Beach, Fla. Notre Dame, Florida State, North Carolina, South Carolina and Wisconsin have also offered. The Tigers are also still recruiting Mississippi State commitment Dak Prescott, a dual-threat quarterback from Haughton High in the Shreveport area.

Brissett has had an offer for a while. He recentlly cut his list down and left us in it. That's really all I know.

We haven't offered Prescott. We may down the line, especially since things have gotten a bit more desperate.

If we do does he accept and drop State?

I suppose it's possible. We also have Zach Oliver in our backyard that we could also potentially turn.

My best guess is that the staff is turning up the heat on Jacoby Brissett and he would be option #1. Option #2 would be to gauge verbal commits elsewhere that may be shaky and a bit more favorable to LSU as our QB depth is looking all the more attractive to an incoming freshman. Option #3 would be to offer Prescott or Oliver. Option #4 would be to go the JUCO or transfer route.

NOOOO...on Prescott. IF LSU wanted Prescott he would be a commitment already. There are others much better mentally and physically than he is. LSU is better off with Bailey.

I have watched him twice..not been impressed either game.

He is a good and capable HS QB. Better than most. If I were a HS coach I would love to have him. But if you like Jefferson you will love Prescott.

I may be wrong..(have been before) but I think he is taller version of what you folk had the last few years..Just my opinion!
Honestly..I was more impressed in Jefferson in High School.

I've seen him(Prescott)play since his sophmore season, and if he progresses this season the way that he has from Soph to Junior then there will be many that will wish LSU had signed him.

That very well may be the case. The game with Minden will be pretty interesting. Honestly I like Leppert more..just because of his approach to the game.

But..I wish Prescott the best. Hopefully he stays with State.

this is the game that will determine where both boys go. Leppert has alot to prove and so does Prescott in N.LA. Both are great QB's!!!

Minden has a very weak team this year,,Leppert wont be able to show as much as Prescott as he will be running for his life,, but those who look closely will see a good QB who can play at the next level.. Prescott is a shorter JJ,, slings it,,but not the football player that Leppert is.

Minden O-Line is alot bigger than last year. They are going to surprise some folks. Ofcourse their D is going to be fast as hell. Leppert should put up better numbers this year behind the bigger line.

I understand questioning Prescott. Many people dont see him as "big time", but his absolute strong suite is his approach to the game. I have never been around a better leader, ever, and not many young men match Dak in character. Will he be a world beater in college?? I dont know, but he is a high character student of the game with amazing leadership qualities.

Yeah, I was gonna say, he's a really good kid. And he did look pretty dang good in some of the 7 on 7's I saw in Shreveport over the summer. I wouldn't mind if he got an offer eventually.

It's not like we can picky right now with QB'S.

Remember the name Evan Crower from San Diego California. He's currently a Stanford commit. His OC is a friend of mine, and he may be looking at us in coming future. Stanford is lurking at a SC commitment now. Crower wants to play on tv every week and LSU name came up..Look for him to pop up after thanksgiving as a potential name

On local tv we have seen a lot of Prescott in Shreveport at the 7 on 7 tournament, he's big, as in he looks like a linebacker, he looks at all of his receivers before throwing if of course he has time, scrambles well, he's very vocal, very positive, he loves the game.

On local tv he looks like he weights 230, big upper-body, around 6'2'' in height, i wonder how far off i am.

he's actually 6'3'' 220
