Spurned perennial football powers ULM and Tulane to bleed purple and gold as a preferred walk-on for Les Miles' squad. The kid couldn't love LSU more and now he has a chance to compete with Stephen Rivers, brother of the legendary Phillip, for starting QB in 2012.

Can't wait to see some of our young QBs compete in the next two years. Be interesting to see who replaces JJ and JL.

Trying to think positively there are alot of stories out there about Walk-On's that end up being superstars, who knows maybe Barrett can be one of those superstars.

I'm actually serious. The guy has loved LSU his whole life and enough to pass over scholarships from the likes of Tulane to play for us. We should give him some reps.

Might as well give Bailey some mop up duty at the end of games this year. I hope they let him attempt a few passes at the very least.

I'm sure his love of LSU will keep the ball out of the hands of Alabama and Florida's defensive backs.

We gotta get some young QBs first before we can be excited about them competing.

I was actually thinking of guys like the linebacker for Penn State last year and others with similar stories, but that was funny

There is ZERO seriousness in that statement. You're just being a douche and you need to own up.

At the very least, I hope the coaches have enough foresight to realize that they need to give Bailey some game time experience this year. It's sad that it's come down to him, but he's our only hope for true GAME experience in 2012 since Rivers will be a freshman.

Oh yeah, that was facetious, I admit, but the rest of the post was legit. I want to see Bailey excel...he's our only chance at having a somewhat experienced QB on the roster in 2012 and that's not going to change. When all is said and done, the kid does love the school and will be right at home since he went to UHigh.
