Out to what yardage. Most modern rifles bolt or auto will be accurate past what most hunters will push them. Inside 300 yards both are very accurate.

most rifles are more accurate than the users in most cases.

Depends a lot on the quality of the rifle. I know of some nice semi-autos that are more accurate than a crappy bolt action. But in the long run you don't notice until long distances IMO

very little difference imo. as the other guy said within about 300 yards it is negligible. i've hunted deer with a remington 700 bolt and also browning bar, havent been able to tell a difference on the range.

At typical ranges used for big game hunting the difference isnt significant. For competition or ultra long range applications you'll not find an automatic action out there.

its the second shot accuracy that is the major problem with the auto rifles. also the fact that they have moving parts make them more prone to inaccuracy. yes some people have a gun that shots 1/2" groups at 100yds... whatever, shot the bitch w/o a sandbad and thats where you are going to tell the real difference. most people don't hunt with sandbags. the most important thing you must realize is that is cost money and time to find to right gun/bullet combo. buy several dif rounds and weights and try them all at a range. you will eventually find the right combo, just don't buy a bullet cause jim bob down the way says his browning bar or his 700 shot a .2" group at 300yds with a ballistic tip.

What caliber? In my mind a 'long action' rifle cartridge needs a bolt, other calibers are more suitable for an automatic
