Memphis is currently negotiating an extension with Zach Randolph, if he extends they'd have no interest in West. Collison was really the only asset we had that Memphis wanted besides Paul and they probably wouldn't have traded Gasol for DC anyway. All of this Gasol talk has been entirely Hornettard generated. Memphis has given no indication that they plan to move Gasol and now that Ariza is in Posey's salary slot, it's unlikely we'd have enough money to make a run at him and keep West and Thornton.

But you might as well ask if I would trade David West for Kevin Durant or Dwight Howard, because I think we have the same chance of making those trades as we do of Memphis trading Gasol for West.

Maybe I need to watch Gasol more this year. How good do you think the guy really is? I know he's not the same player as his brother. Is it possible we're perhaps overstating his value?

Why the F does every Hornets fan think we are willing to trade Gasol. We love him and don't want to lose him. You peopel are f'ed in the head.
