I know near to nothing in terms of in depth recruiting, but based on the current depth chart, I would say QB just based on the fact that we will potentially only have two this coming fall. Although I would be quick to say after that that O-line is a huge need, although not one that can be fixed immediatly.

Who is this? I think we are done at DT, unless Jernigan wants onboard.

As far as POSITIONS go, I say we definitely need a QB first and foremost; I'm really hoping we get Phillip Ely committed this time next week.

However, as far as INDIVIDUAL RECRUITS go, I believe we must get Greg Robinson. Having a top-tier in-state athlete not only leave Louisiana, but leave Louisiana for worthless-fricking-Auburn, is beyond sacrilege. And not only that, the precedent it would set for rising junior Trey Granier is too scary to contemplate. The purple-n-gold Fightin' Tigers of Thibodaux High a pipeline to Auburn? frick that! Getting Robinson signed to LSU makes Trovon Reed simply an anomaly rather than a paradigm-shifter.

In short, we need 'em both.

robinson is "critical". especially if we lose porter. if we don't get both of them we will have 2 o line last year and 3 committed so far this year. looking weak. ely would be good to get but he is not a prize qb so i would take rasco and others before him.

I would want Robinson and Ely.

After then Rasco.

We could live without OBJ and Wallace. Although I would like to see OBJ in P&G

Good question. I'd probably rate them in terms of need:

Ely (Need as many QB's as we can get)
Wallace (Same for LBers)
Robinson (Need him to complete our monster o-line)
OBJ (Probably they guy I want the most out of all these guys)
Rasco (Going to be a beast at DE in a few years IMO)

I know we need QBs but ely is not so good that we could not get some who is close to his potential. there is no chance we can replace robinson with anyone close to him. robinson will be very helpful in an NC while we have shep, RR etc. assuming z. lee stays at LSU, ely is a next gerneration qb. i like robinson considerable above all others.

beckham.......he will compete early on for a job on special teams and at corner.

rasco......it will be hard for him to crack the 2 deep his first year. he will be a great talent in a short time though.

robinson.......way too good to lose out on and we could use more competition for guys who could play tackle.

ely......we need a qb this year....you need a qb every year. i'm not sold on this guy being the one we get or take, but he's a legit prospect.

wallace......don't even know how good our chances really are. elite lb talent is something we need to have though.

realistically the 3 in state guys should all be tigers and out of those guys i think beckham has the best chance of getting on the field early in his career.
