This is still a beta version, but if you have an iPhone, please check it out and let us know what you think:

tigerdroppings.com/mobile/guide

We still need to add more filtering once you initially enter a cuisine or a neighborhood search, and there are some other enhancements we want to do, but I think it is very useful as is. I used it extensively on a recent trip to New Orleans and it was very helpful.

Damn, snuck across the Sabine and no Happy Hour?

Headed down to NO for the Red Dress Run next weekend, so I'll put it to the test. Should be a nice improvement over Urban Spoon and others!

Chicken, I'd recommend doing more to highlight the dining guide on the F&D board. Even with the "NEW!" tag next to it I had to look for the link up top. Maybe give it a link or even banner in the white space at the top next to the board title/heading.

Chicken, do you know if there's a way to change what the bookmark "picture" is when it's added to the home screen? I'd like to bookmark it to homescreen but I don't want the standard TD logo confusing me with the main forum.

I don't have an iPhone and it looks good. Never had one and not sure how they adapt, but it would be nice if the phone number was a link you could click to call. I have seen other mobile sites do it on my phone. Again, it may just not be a function on my phone. The Geaux logo is also very small for me, but thats not a bad thing

Chicky, when posting a review, the submission page text runs over the preview text. Other than that, the layout is great. Easy to read.

Heady, what phone do you have? This version is specifically for touch screen phones...

Heady, we don't do anything special for the phone number...we just display it. The iphone software converts it to a link for easy calling.

I am surprised the Android is not doing that...I will look into it.

I am not on Andriod. I take that back. I just checked Urban Spoon and I cannot click on the phone number. Must be my old phone.

Speaking of Urbanspoon.

Would it be possible in the future to have a option to "View restaurants near-by" incorporating the iPhone GPS?

That would be nice for me, as someone who is not entirely familiar with locations or block numbers, to be able to just look at the places closest to my current location.

Guster, we will eventually have that...we have a lot of things on our plate, so we have to prioritize the order of what we work on. I agree that it would be useful to someone not familiar with the area they are in.
