The way I see it there are three major candidates for NL Rookie of the Year. Despite the hype machine behind Strasburg and Heyward I think Buster is the pick. Both Heyward and Strasburg are great rookies and I am not knocking them whatsoever. Buster Posey has put himself in class ahead in the two months he has been in the big leagues.

Posey
AB 178
H 66
R 28
HR 8
RBI 33
AVG .371
OBP .407
SLG .579
OPS .986

Who is your pick?

I'm a die hard Braves fan but if Posey keeps it up then he def should win it. Heyward had a DL stint and wasnt 100% before as well. Looks like he is hitting his stride now should be a good race if it comes down to those two.

Its gonna be a good race. I just hope Strasburg doesnt win it. Posey and Heyward both deserve it more

Heyward tore it up out the blocks to.

if Posey hits 370 the rest of the year, he'll win it.

Neil Walker is going to blow up down the stretch and win it.

Strasburg leads the majors in strikeouts per nine for a starter, and it's not even close. His ERA is in the low 2's and his WHIP is hovering around 1. That's pretty damn impressive, even though it's only through nine starts I think.

Anyway, Strasburg will probably get shut down before the end of the year, and he will more than likely not win it because of that.

What has been a beauty to watch with Posey is his ability to hit with two strikes and his ability to hit with power to all fields.

Heyward is hot out of the blocks again. If that thumb stays healthy he could be hard to beat. I think he's batting around around .430 since the break raised his averaged up 29 points.

Whatever the implications of this statement may be, I am totally gay for Buster Posey at this point. It has been a pleasure to watch him.

as a person who has Jason Heyward for ROY in his sig pic, if posey keep this up, he deserves it.

If he levels off like heyward did around late April/May then i say it could be a toss up but a good one down to the end.
