Wouldn't miss it for anything. Just got back from a trip to Canton and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Not as much there as they have on the tour (at least from what I've seen in pics posted here).

I have always wanted to go the Pro Football Hall of Fame. That building looks really small on the outside is it like that on the inside???

By the way did you get to see any Super Bowl XLIV stuff? The ring, the coin from the Super Bowl, etc???

Holy crap, I did not know about this. I'm off Thurs too. I'm definitely gonna have to check this out.

ETA: why does the River Center have nothing about this on their website?

This was the first time I've visited and this was obviously a good year to visit. They didn't have the ring yet, but they did have the coin. Also got to see some Rickey Jackson stuff. They had a Brees Jersey, but it was from 08 when he broke several records. They also had a Sharper Jersey and the gloves he used in the Jets game. So not a ton of stuff, but the coolest part by far was the 20 minute "Road to the Superbowl" movie that they play in the theater there. 15 minutes of it was footage from the SB and it was great to see that stuff on the big screen (and especially given where the screen was located). The other thing is that a lot of the workers and other visitors asked about the Saints; something that certainly wouldn't have happened prior to this year. It felt good wearing the Saints gear into that place. Even though they were missing things (such as the ring), it was well worth the visit and I enjoyed seeing a lot of the other (non Saints) stuff as well. My bet is that the Saints are going to have a few more busts on the wall in the coming years

This baffled me to so I called them just to make sure and they assured me that it is July 22 from 10am-6pm. It will be in the area that is right across the street from the USS kid which is what they told me. I forgot the name of that area of the River Center.

In addition there will be exhibition areas including the presence of the official cheerleading squad of the Saints, the Saintsations

I'm going to the one in Gulfport next Thursday and bringing my 6 month old son so I can get as many pictures with him and the tropies and memorabilia so he can look back on this when he grows up. Hopefully I can get a Saintsation or two to pose with him so he'll always be able to compare his future girlfriends to them. LMAO!

What sort of Saints items do they actually have there? Saints haven't been synonomous to the HOF in their history. At least outside of the Dempsey kick.
