How about changing this to a Soccer Board and keeping it around...

...and then starting up "Tigerdroppings" ESPN fantasy leagues for the upcoming EPL and Champions League seasons, and MLS when it starts up again next year, and talking about players and teams and tactics, and thereby helping to fill the black hole in my life that showed up when the World Cup ended?

How about No.
I understand the need for a WC board. Logical.
However, if there will be no NFL board, or no Music, or no "Outdoor" board, then there can be no permanent Soccer board.

I'm all for it. It's either this or get shite on everyday as I WILL be making daily game threads for MLS and European matches as I see fit.

You deserve to get shite if you make multiple threads devoted to MLS matches. It's a waste of space.

Alright, never mind . I guess I made the mistake of thinking there were a lot of soccer fans on this board...

I agree with this, but I doubt it will happen.

there will be multiple threads for multiple MLS matches from me. There will also be multiple EPL, Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, Champions League, and international threads from me as well. And trust me, I won't be the only one.

Anybody who is a fan of the USA and a soccer fan should support MLS. No doubt MLS is nowhere near an elite league right now, but it is improving. And more importantly, it is pioneering efforts to develop an academy system in the US that can transform the the country into a major international soccer power.

So is me having to hear about stupid baseball or Nascar shite, but I'm not "giving people shite". And people are free to speak on NFL, NBA, MLB, etc. freely, while soccer threads get bashed because it's the "sport of figs". Soccer fans are oppressed, damnit, and I won't stop until we have our forty acres of message board and a mule.

A soccer board would be nice.

MLS actually hurts the U.S. national team. Without it, the good American players would be playing in Europe and gaining real experience instead of wasting their time in a league that is nowhere near as good as even second or third-tier European leagues.

How many of the USMNT World Cup players got their start in MLS? How many of them are currently in MLS?
Players don't need to stay in MLS but a domestic talent development system needs to exist. Fans need to see soccer and develop bonds with teams.
MLS is the single most important thing to us potentially winning a World Cup.

Jesus you're dumb. The MLS increases the U.S. player pool by a significant margin. The good American players already play in Europe, but the league has a proven track record of excellence in developing young players by offering them a good physical league. I doubt you could even name what is generally considered a second or third tier European league, but the MLS is on par with them. Answer this question, how many players on the USMNT played in the MLS before going on to Europe?
Without the MLS, the USMNT would return to its pre-1996 purgatory of U.S. players having nowhere to get consistent game time.
