Spoilers
How do they know it is based on real events? I thought Liv Tyler and the guy die in the end... couldn't they have been killed by the strangers?

Spoilers
Liv lives at the end. Those little dipshits find her and she screams at the very end.

SPOILER
Yeah like Barry said, the last scene was Liv opening her eyes and screaming. She will be in the sequel. But "inspired by true events" could mean anything.

Okay thanks forgot about that part. I'm surprised Liv was in the first and will be in the sequel... seems like her career has hit the skids since LOTR movies

That's a tough one. Some pretty good horror films, but not too many that really shook me. Maybe Martyrs. Even though Antichrist was a pile of shite, it disturbed me as well.

Drag Me To Hell was awesome, but it was a lil silly too.
The Hills Have Eyes remake was pretty good. It was disturbing.

I liked 28 days later a lot

The Fourth Kind freaked me out. I have a certain fear for alien abduction horror movies though.

idk if you were joking about the descent but that would have been my pick

Descent was scary?
Wrong Turn was pretty epic, but not so scary.
Amityville Horror
The Ring
Grudge
The Exorcist
Paranormal Activity
If I can think of more which will be soon, I'll post the ones I think are scariest at least.
