I haven't seen this in probably 20 years but I remember really enjoying it. I was thinking about getting it. For anyone that has seen it lately, how did it hold up?

These stand the test of time

I haven't seen it in years either, but I do remember Fred Savage peeing in his water fun and shooting bullies with it.

I think I remember this - is there a scene where the boy is burying some green army figurines in the mud during the rain or something like that?

Yes. A lot of the movie is about them coping with losing their father I believe. And that scene is one of them where Fred Savage is not dealing well.

I had completely forgotten about this movie, but the piss in the watergun and burying the toy in the rain definitely stick out. I'm gonna have to see about watching this sometime soon.

Just rewatched this movie. Aside from the dream sequence, this movie holds up really well. Two thumbs up.
