Went this morning. Got to see the ring, the Lombardi trophy, and the NFC championship trophy. There were a few "Saintsations" there but they would have been legit WYHI threads on the OT. Very disappointing.

No players were there, except for Michael Lewis (I assume he works for the team in some capacity). He was signing autographs.

There was a place for the kids to kick field goals and throw passes. A small section with an autographyed Hall of Fame helmet signed by Jackson. The most interesting thing was a frame containing the bats given out at the games at the end of the season.

Overall, it was ok, but not a whole lot to see.

I was going to go by at lunch and there were quite a few people there, or at least it looked like it from the road, so decided to pass since I had to get back to work. I didn't think I would have time to look at it all. I might try after work...they are there until 6 right?

I wouldn't care if it was in the middle of an empty warehouse, with just a security team around it. I would still go see it. I never thought I would see the day where this:

Would have the New Orleans Saints engraved on it.

fox, I assume this was a response to me. I just thought it was a little lame for the Saints to put that on and not get one current player to come out. Also, the exhibits were sparse, it was just kind of sad. Yes, the Lombardi Trophy was there . . . . but you tell me they couldn't get more stuff for people to look at? Correct me if I'm wrong but the following tables were there:

Marine recruiting table
Jackson table with like four items
Superbowl Ring Display (ring in box on table)
Lombardi Trophy guarded by Marine
Halas Trophy (NFC Championship)
Table with framed display of bats.
Four Saintsations at a table
Michael Lewis signing at a table.
Display table of tshirts and hats for sale online.
Projector showing highlights on the wall.

You're telling me they couldn't do something more?

Just went to the one in Shreveport. You forgot about the HOF table with memorabilia from Rickey Jackson and the Drew Brees game used jersey, helmet and a piece of the Saints Endzone turf from the Super Bowl. Also a couple of things from Benson like the umbrella he carried after the Super Bowl (I think?) and a couple of awards he received. Overall I thought it was pretty cool, but yeah, not a whole lot to it. I was also disappointed to see that Michael Lewis was the only one signing autographs. But I got some far off pictures of the trophy- the line was probably an hour long and I didn't have time to wait, and pics of the ring, the bats and NFCCG trophy. I'm definitely glad I went, but glad it was free, too.
