Per Dandy Don

Probably the most improved and most impressive player on the team during Summer workouts has been sophomore LB/DE Barkevious Mingo who is now tipping the scale at 237. Mingo arrived at LSU weighing 212 out of West Monroe.

In other news concerning LSU football, I am receiving great reports on Rueben Randle who has added 10-12 pound since the end of the 2009 season.

...also from the Dandy one.

237. Hmmm, using the Dandy Deviation, that means he could be anywhere from 208-243.

I am anctious to watch him play. West Monroe boys seem to come to college better prepared than those from other schools. I can only think of one kid of Coach Shows' that was a big disappointment at LSU.

RS just under 200# according to DD's sources...for those of you who refuse to read his daily. Which means he's approaching Harvin's level:

ledoux and west were pseudo disappointments, but didn't come straight to LSU...Sanders was somewhat of a disappointment compared to how great some of the WM homers claimed he would be.

Never the same after tearing up his knee his junior year of high school. Ledoux and West committed to A&M first. West played baseball for the White Sox organization for 3 years before coming to LSU. McConathy didn't stay long before transferring to Texas and then Tech. Smalling was set to start before he just walked away.

Was Tommy banks a disappointment ? I say no, but it was a couple of years before I started to follow lsu heavily.

Smalling was lazy
maconathy was good but his dad threw a hussy fit at lsu coaches and convinced him to transfer.

Great ones
rodney reed
bjames
whitworth
Mingo will be next

Tommy Banks was far from a disappointment. I would love for there be room for one more DB in next years class b/c their QB is a special athlete.
