I WANT Ernie to win. So some fricking no name will pull it off.

Maybe Angel Cabrera is close enough to ruin another major for me.

I think he is plus 4 or 5 though.

Seriously.

Ernie's my favorite golfer, and though he's havign a solid year this year, a lot of people have been counting him out in recent years. I want him to get it done and prove the haters wrong.

He has played real steady, BUT He has all day to think about Tiger being this close. Same with Graham. Yesterday was different. His big advantadge is his caddy.

5 shots isn't close. I don't expect TW to shoot another 66.

I don't either. BUT he may not have too. I have seen EPIC choke jobs in major championships.

I just talked to a person who knows the guys setting up the course. They are uneasy as said about yesterday and said if -3 or worse doesnt win or worse they did a bad job. WOW. Thats crazy talk I said. They said putting will be huge today, but thats normal. Watch for fault lines today, a foot here or there will be horrific.

They also said Tiger with 26 putts yesterday was unheard of at pebble.

I've been watching golf on TV since the late '60s so I've seen all the EPIC chokes in that time frame.

I don't expect Johnson to choke. He knows the course and his caddy knows it better than anybody in the field. All of that and TW has never come from behind on Sunday to win a major.

A choke is making a 7 on the last hole or holes to lose. A choke is not shooting 75 in the US Open at Pebble after 2 guys shot 66.

But seriously, Johnson is playing great golf, but I don't think he'll pull it off.

I would like to see Els or Tiger win.

Like I have said he has been steady, And YES his caddy is a HUGE advantadge. I never said Tiger will win, But I hope they all play well and we have a great finish.

Im all for getting some disparity among major winners. Woods or Els winning would be boring imo.

Just got off phone again. He said morning rounds can shoot under but once all dried up, +1 or 2 is a great score.

Never heard him say this at any event.

ETA: They triple cut and rolled today.
