won't call the MWC a big conference but it is a step up for them........even if Utah is leaving.

Their play on the field speaks for itself; they're 4-1 vs. BCS teams in the past four years. It's clear to them that if they win the games they're supposed to, they'll be in a BCS bowl.

I think their original thinking was by getting into the MWC, the NCAA was going to award that conference with an automatic BCS bowl bid and had Utah stayed, the NCAA would have given them that bid. The MWC in my opinion is the best they could do and it's a good fit for them. That Pac 10 pretty much wants to expand with AAU schools and Idaho is out of the way. And the same for the Big 10. Like I said earlier, I honestly feel kind of bad for Boise. They joined the MWC right before all this expansion BS went nuts. But still the same, that MWC is a good fit for them and I think things will work out fine for BSU. One of the biggest problems with Boise is they are in the middle of the sticks. It's a great city but it just does not line up well with the Pac 10 or Big 10. Boise just needs to keep on winning. They have earned enough respect that they will get in a BCS bowl if they are undefeated and played a decent OOC schedule.

By all means don't let your lack of knowledge interfere with your opinion. WOW.

There's a good chance that there will be six BCS bowls next time around (current five + Cotton Bowl); I would expect it to be possible that MWC gets a bid anyway with the autobids looking this way:

Rose: Big "Ten" & Pac-12
Fiesta: choice between MWC and Big East champions
Cotton: Big "12"
Sugar: SEC
Orange: ACC

I would still include an automatic bid for the highest-ranking team outside the seven conferences (+ND) mentioned above, but require the team to be in the top 12 (instead of the current 16) to get the autobid. That way, the other conferences have access to the big bowls, but they have to actually give us one of the 12 best teams in the country (fitting for six bowls).
